1 | SELF-ASSEMBLE FRAMES
Also known as stick form or sticks.

Since all of our frame pieces and parts are individually Ink-jet marked with ID numbers, and accompanied by detailed assembly drawings, Self assembly is quiet straight forward.

Our self-assemble solution is ideal for modular building contractors, Pod manufacturers and Self-Builders who need a reliable supply of pre-engineered steel product to feed their assembly line or building project.

Sometimes our clients choose to self-assemble, due to site or restricted access reasons. The Frame bundles can be collected or delivered direct to site, factory or docks.

Benefits:

  • Product consistency with our certified premium quality Shanette Steel Sections
  • Ideal for versatile & innovative designs
  • Collection or delivery costs for bundles are very economic
  • Perfect for sites with restricted access
  • Self assemble bundles are great for the Self builder.

2 | PRE-ASSEMBLED FRAMES
FOR COLLECTION OR DELIVERY

With this option Shanette assemble all parts into complete frames, at our manufacturing facility, which are then loaded on stillages ready for collection or delivery.

Once on-site or at the finishing factory in the case of pod manufacturers, the frames are simply bolted together into complete structures.

We supply pre-assembled frames that form complete structures to clients who then fit-out according to their own project specification.

Benefits:

  • Creative and innovative designs can be produced using Shanette frames
  • Accurate, consistently high-quality frames provide premium quality build structure
  • Ease of transportation – product is provided in flat pack format loaded on stillages.

  • Minimised construction delays, supporting the critical path of a building project
  • Additional extras optional, which include insulation, sheathing, boarding etc

3 | PRE-ASSEMBLED FRAMES WITH ON-SITE CONSTRUCTION BY THE SHANETTE FITTING TEAMS

Popular Questions

The cost of steel frame homes compared to traditional wood can vary depending on project specifics. Steel construction offers several advantages that can lead to overall cost savings. These include:

  • Durability: Steel frames resist rot, termites, and warping, reducing long-term maintenance costs.
  • Faster construction: Steel frames can be prefabricated, leading to quicker build times and potentially lower labor costs.
  • Energy efficiency: Steel allows for superior insulation integration, potentially lowering heating and cooling bills.

Steel frames are known for their exceptional durability. Steel resists rot, insect infestation, and warping, leading to a long lifespan.

Steel frame construction offers excellent potential for energy efficiency. Here’s why:

  • Superior insulation integration: Steel studs have a smaller profile compared to wooden studs, allowing for more space for thicker insulation, leading to better thermal performance.
  • Airtight construction: Steel frames can be effectively sealed, minimising air leaks, a significant source of energy loss.

Steel frame construction is well-suited for a variety of climates. Steel is resistant to moisture, making it a good choice for humid regions. Additionally, steel’s strength allows for superior performance in areas prone to high winds or seismic activity.
